Rockford Systems, a Rockford-based specialist in industrial safety solutions, has launched a new Remote Safeguarding Assessment service that allows clients to use audio or video conferencing software to complete a safety assessment. The firm has also launched the Detect-a-Finger Gen II, for use on riveting and welding machinery to help operators avoid injury.
Serola Biomechanics, a Loves Park, Ill., specialist in biomechanical pain relief and injury prevention devices, received an award for Continuing Excellence in Exporting at the Governor’s Export Award ceremony. Founded by a chiropractor in 1988, the firm began exporting in the mid-1990s and currently exports to 40 countries, holding 50 domestic and international patents.
Cream City Scale, a Wisconsin and Illinois-based specialist in truck scales used for industrial and agricultural applications, has completed its new location in Loves Park, Ill. The new 12,000-square-foot facility houses combo tractor/trailers and large box trucks that carry maximum weight for heavy-duty and industrial customers. The firm sells, services, integrates and calibrates scales.
The City of Rochelle has begun its $3.2 million reconstruction of the Rochelle Municipal Airport, in a multi-phase project that includes pavement resurfacing, an extended taxiway and electronics updates. Over the past decade, the City has invested more than $6 million into the airport, which currently handles more than 15,000 operations each year – a 500 percent increase since 2014.
Woods Equipment, an Oregon, Ill., producer of agricultural, landscape and construction machines, has introduced the FZ27 commercial zero-turn mower, a front-mount lawnmower that improves visibility and access under low-growing trees or foliage.
ABC Supply, the Beloit-based distributor of wholesale exterior building supplies, has opened locations in Boise, Idaho; Stockton, Calif.; Twinsburg, Ohio; and Ann Arbor, Mich., bringing the firm’s total locations to more than 760.
Canada Jetlines, a Canadian-based budget airline, has selected software by Beloit-based Comply365 for managing its operational content among the carrier’s mobile workforce. Comply365 specializes in SaaS and mobile solutions for content management and document distribution in highly regulated industries. It currently serves eight of the top 10 North American airlines.
Bergstrom Inc., a Rockford-based specialist in climate control systems for commercial vehicles, has partnered with ARBOC Specialty Vehicles to install a solar panel battery charger on the ProMaster Van. Debuted at the CTAA Expo in California, the model demonstrates Bergstrom technology that conforms to surfaces and extends the run time of electric HVAC systems.
Siffron, an Ohio-based specialist in retail merchandising systems with operations in Rockford, has introduced the ModoShelf, a produce display system with antimicrobial properties. The NSF-certified system is equipped with removable antimicrobial tiles that can be cleaned in a dishwasher to help prevent the spread of E.coli bacteria.
RegalBeloit, a Beloit specialist in electric motors and controls, power generation products and power transmission products, has introduced an upgraded lineup of its JuggerNaut condenser fan motors. Upgrades include a non-conductive grease, full-phase insulation, carbon brush technology and an inverter duty wire that helps in the reduction of bearing currents. These improvements are expected to extend the operating life of the motor.
Taylor, a Rockton, Ill., specialist in commercial food service equipment, has introduced the Crown Series Milkshake Freezer for adding fruits, candies and syrups to create “megashakes.” Aimed at a milkshake and frozen adult beverage market, the product operates at high capacity in a reduced footprint, has customizable viscosity control, a heat-treatment cycle and reduced product waste.
