Lindsey Gapen Lukas leads NWQ’s northern Illinois/southern Wisconsin edition. She enjoys writing about health, art and everything else found in the glossy pages of Northwest Quarterly.
Originally from Naperville, Ill., Lindsey graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015 where she earned degrees in journalism and anthropology. She previously worked for The Madison Times, The Badger Herald and Souvenirs travel magazine, in addition to freelancing for multiple blogs.
Outside of Northwest Quarterly, you can find Lindsey teaching ballet and jazz at Rockford Dance Company, where she also serves on the board of directors and participates in the adult company, Dance L.I.F.E. Working semi-remotely, she lives in Naperville with her husband, Mike, a cytotechnologist at Edward Hospital.
